Distinguished members of NYCA, please join me in warmly welcoming Lindsay Minnis from Baker McKenzie as she presents:

Around the World in 60 Minutes: Latest Developments and Trends in Global Equity Compensation

Summary:

No two countries are alike, and that can make equity offerings difficult to administer when you are in multiple jurisdictions around the globe. During our session we will discuss some of the key country-specific challenges in EMEA, APAC, and the Americas and how companies are getting out from under them. We will cover the latest tax, legal and administrative challenges in each region —as well as enforcement activity companies should be aware of. We also will cover some of the latest trends in global equity plan design, including employee stock purchase plans, tax-qualified plans, and cash-settled awards.

Speaker:

Lindsay Minnis is a partner in Baker McKenzie's Global Equity Services Practice in New York. She routinely advises multinationals on international equity plans, executive compensation and employment benefits.

Lindsay advises companies of all sizes on the design, implementation and compliance of their equity compensation plans. These include tax considerations, securities filing and disclosure requirements, exchange control rules, labor law exposure, data privacy concerns and compliance issues connected to offering equity compensation in different jurisdictions. She also counsels clients on the effects of mergers, reorganizations, spin-offs or other complex corporate transactions in relation to their benefit and equity compensation programs.
