For our final presentation of the Fall 2018 NYCA season, please welcome Mark Emanuel and Austin Vanbastelaer of Semler Brossy Consulting Group.

Presentation Details:

To give, or not to give? How effective are retention awards, really?

Retention awards are used today with frequency across many companies and industries. But has anyone come up with a good way of measuring whether or not they are effective? What if the conventional approach to “putting glue in the seat” is not as effective as we think? We will explore when, why, and how they are effective (or not) and discuss frameworks and approaches to retention awards.

Specifically, we will walk through: common approaches, special retention awards, what the research says is effective, how rewards can be used efficiently (or inefficiently!) and how we can evaluate their effectiveness.

Please join us!
